Choi Jung Won cast alongside Kim Ji Hoon in SBS’s upcoming successor to Temptation of an Angel, Stars Falling from the Sky (Jan. 4) (Monday & Tuesday)
They will be playing the main couple. Kim Ji Hoon will be a top notch lawyer who lives his life guarded to others due to his mother’s abandonment at an early age. She plays a rather spoiled woman who is forced to care for her five siblings when they suddenly lose their parents. Frankly, this sounds like they took a piece of the plot from every drama ever written and melded them together to make this drama. Nevertheless, the series is scheduled to air 20 episodes. Which means they have 20 hours to prove this is not the run of the mill mess I think I will be.

UPDATE: Lee Byung Hun is a no for second season of KBS2's Iris

Not exactly a shocker but it’s still kinda sad.

Soo Ae to play “owner” to Kim Hyun Joong’s “pet” in Korean remake of Kimi wa Pet. MAYBE.
Nothing’s official, but Soo Ae has been offered the heroine role in the Kim wa Pet remake that has been in the works and is set to be starring Kim Hyun Joong. Her side has not confirmed or denied this but if there was ever a way to get an answer soon this would be the way. Trust me when I say that when news like this drops in the entertainment world it is simply an age old tactic to pressure the intended party to give the desired answer. I don’t blame her if she has some hesitation. As popular as Boys Over Flowers was I don’t know anyone who can say Kim Hyun Joong was the greatest actor and the premise of Kimi wa Pet makes the whole production a gamble. I remember liking the Japanese Kimi wa Pet (most of that had to do with Matsumoto Jun) but I also remember thanking God it wasn’t longer than 10 episodes. Think long and hard, Soo Ae. Long. And. Hard.

Thats weird… i though KHJ wasn’t going to be in Kimi Wa Pet… Hmm..

I remember hearing this too but the article I read is still listing him as attached to project. He may be rethinking his decision to the film so they may be releasing this article to pressure both Hyun Joong and Soo Ae to commit to the project. The contract for these projects are usually the last thing that is signed before they begin shooting and from time to time the actors get cold feet at the last minute. Maybe they are trying to kill two birds with one stone. Sneaky, sneaky.

John Woo’s classic/mindblowing/groundbreaking films A Better Tomorrow (1986) & The Killer (1989) set for a Korean remake.
I’m an adrenaline junkie and I always tend to stick with those that deliver a surmountable amount of it. John Woo easily falls into that category. His classic films A Better Tomorrow and The Killer hold a special place in my heart which made me excited to hear the news that these classic Hong Kong films were getting  remade. It also made me very weary. I’m not the biggest fan of remakes. I stand by the notion, “If it ain’t broke then don’t try to fix it.” I worried a little less when I read that Song Seung Hun has been cast to play Chow Yun Fat’s role. With last year’s East of Eden he proved he can mix action while playing a complex character which is important. Both of these films are in it’s VERY early stages so it’ll be a while until we see something but it’s nice to know it’s in the works.
