OST Tune of the Day: This Old Heart of Mine - The Isley Brothers (featured in episode five of Hungry!)

…And the pitch perfect song choices keep coming. I thought episode five was a little too sentimental for my tastes, but it completely redeemed itself with the last few minutes of the episode bringing the series back to the Hungry I know and love. While the pace has been a little slow the last couple of weeks, the music has been continuously awesome. This song is a personal favorite of mine considering I grew up listening to this stuff (that makes me sound a lot older than I actually am) and I appreciate the fact that the people working on this series understand how much music sets the tone for a drama. Some people may be turned off by the Western music, but good music is good music and I’m glad that Hungry realizes that. 

OST (kinda) Tune of the Day: Two Hearts - Kylie Minogue

MBC’s The King has officially been renamed King2hearts. Turns out it’s a reference to the Kylie Minogue song Two Hearts which will be the series’ theme music, instantly giving the series a sexy appeal. Needless to say, this took my interest from 10 to 10,000.

OST Tune of the Day: ROCK ME BABY - The Bawdies from Hungry!

I’ve been waiting for this one! Here’s the theme song for what is quickly becoming one of my fav dramas of the year. Honestly, if you’ve been watching Hungry! and you haven’t found yourself singing along to this song, you’re not a true fan.

OST Tune of the Day: Crazy Love - Van Morrison (featured in episode 2 of Fuji TV Hungry!)

Hungry! uses a lot Western music which I LOVE. I especially love the fact the The Bawdies are providing it’s theme song (which I will post once I find a quality version of). I’m assuming that the actual ost won’t have all the music featured in the series so I’m appreciating it now.  

OST Tune of the Day: She - Elvis Costello (Featured on SBS’s History of a Salaryman)

History of a Salaryman began today and this song played as Yoo-Bang (Lee Beom-Soo) admired Yeo-Chi (Jung Ryeo-Won) from afar. I don’t want to give anything away, but the lyrics of the song are more than perfect for the scene.

OST Tune of the Day: Immaterial White - FREE TEMPO (from MBC Coffee Prince)

A long, LONG time ago someone asked me what my favorite song was from Coffee Prince. I pretty much love all the music so this was a really tough one for me. In a panic, I listed some song that I liked, but didn’t exactly love. This has always bugged me so I’m fixing it now. Here is my favorite song from Coffee Prince. Officially.

Suggestion: Play this whenever you find yourself driving late at a night on an empty road that seems endless. Trust me, it’s an experience.
