Jerry Yan to produce and star in Taiwanese adaptation of Secret Garden?
“Forever Daoming Si” Jerry Yan is one of many investors ready to buy the tv rights for Secret Garden and he’s even willing to star in the production. This is one of many indictations that Jerry is becoming more interested in taking on producer roles in the future. In fact, Jerry was one of the investors who were interested in buying the rights for You’re Beautiful so that they could make a Taiwanese version of it. Unfortunately, Japanese investors slipped in before the deal was done and were able to procure the rights to make last year’s Ikemen Desu Ne which aired on TBS. Needless the say, any possibility of a Taiwanese You’re Beautiful was put to rest.
News outlets are claiming that Jerry Yan is unsatisfied with his career lately which is why he’s decided to invest in many different ventures. He’s also an investor in the John Woo produced epic film Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale. As we all know, Jerry is deathly private (for good reason) so when his brokerage firm was contacted to confirm all of this, they played dumb saying that knew nothing of these claims. If Jerry is bored with his career, I can understand why. He wants to be taken seriously, but his fans prefer to see him in idol dramas.
He’ll basically have to create the roles he wants for himself and I’m sure he’s hoping Secret Garden will do for his career what it did for Hyun Bin’s. Hey, that’s what Peter Ho did with Summer’s Desire. He produced and starred in it and, while it was hilariously over the top, it’s popularity made him a lot of money. Why did he turn around and choose Unbeatable and the unfortunate Ring Ring Bell as his follow-up dramas? That’s one mystery that will never be solved.

Lee Na-young offered lead role in SBS’s Gentleman’s Dignity (March)
….And the big names just keep coming. It’s not enough that this is Lovers series herself Kim Eun-sook’s follow-up to last year’s megahit Secret Garden AND the lead role is being “seriously considered” by Jang Dong-gun. Oh no. They had to go and try to recruit Lee Na-young. I have to say I’m rather inpressed with the big names they’ve decided to reach out to. The fact that these same big names are “seriously considering” it proves that it must be pretty damn good. As always, her casting is not confirmed, but she has acknowledged that she is considering the offer.
I’m calling it now: They’re going to release a Director’s Cut version. That’s potentially big money and Secret Garden fans will pay just to feel like they have a little more of Secret Garden. Hell, I’d pay the money.

Damn it, Secret Garden!! Why did you have to give us such a great ending?! I swear, I think I’ve watched it every night since the last episode aired. I guess we all have our mood enhancers. Some people watch porn, I watch dramas that have deliriously happy endings.

Dream High - Episode 5
*SIGH* Jin-gook, I know you’re a good guy and I get what you’re trying to do. You want to protect Hye-mi, but, girls being the way they can be, Baek-hee is making it seem like Hye-mi is the one who’s harassing her. The truth will come out soon, but, in the meantime, pick a side!! You’re protecting Hye-mi, but also scolding her for things you don’t know anything about. I stilll love you, but you’re frustrating me.
No, really. This will stay in your head and will drive you crazy. You sure? Ok……
